BPCL to set up Ethanol Plant in Odisha’s Bargarh: Dharmendra Pradhan
The Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan has said that Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) would set up an ethanol plant based on agricultural residue at Bargarh in Odisha at a cost of 9 hundred crore rupees.
Addressing at the valedictory function of the Make in Odisha Conclave in Bhubaneswar on Friday, Pradhan stated that the plant would use the agricultural waste to produce energy.
“Produces such as straw, which are usually fed to cattle, can be used to produce energy. We are planning to generate energy from agricultural waste in Odisha to provide a new dimension to the economy in the state”, said Pradhan.
