Make In Odisha receives Investment Interest of more than Rs 2 lakh crore
The Government of Odisha has claimed of receiving investment assurance of more than 2 lakh crore rupees in ten diverse sectors, after three days of deliberations with industry leaders during the ambitious Make in Odisha conclave.
Addressing the valedictory session of the event in Bhubaneswar on Friday, Chief minister Naveen Patnaik said these proposed investments to the tune of 2 lakh 3 thousand 270 crore rupees have the potential to generate 1 lakh 40 thousand jobs for the people of the state. Of the total pledged investments, the highest of 97,911 crore rupees were from mineral and metals sectors.
With the remarkable success of the conclave, the state government has decided to organize the event biannually in order to achieve its dream of Vision 2025 that envisages to attract investment worth Rs 2.5 lakh and to create employment opportunity for around 30 lakh people in next 10 years.
