India and Indonesia signed three agreements in the fields of sports, stopping illegal fishing and standardisation.

The agreement will boost bilateral strategic partnership and trade ties between the two countries. Both countries have also agreed to cooperate in maritime security to ensure the safety of sea.

Indonesian President said that discussions centered on deepening trade ties between both countries.

Modi expressed confidence that the discussions and the agreements will help shape an action agenda and add new intensity to Strategic engagement. He said that that defence cooperation, combating terrorism, organised crime & human trafficking are high on agenda.

The Indonesian President’s two-day visit is the first since former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s trip to India in 2011.
